# Delete Invoice

> Delete an invoice from your organization

# Delete Invoice

Permanently deletes an invoice and its associated emissions data. This action cannot be undone.

<Warning>
  **Permanent Deletion**

  Deleting an invoice will permanently remove:

  * The invoice record
  * Associated emissions calculations
  * Any linked data

  This action cannot be reversed. Consider setting the invoice status to `inactive` if you want to exclude it from calculations without permanent deletion.

  The unique identifier of the invoice to delete.

## Response

Returns `204 No Content` on successful deletion.

## Common Errors

### 401 Unauthorized

**Cause:** Missing or invalid API key

### 403 Forbidden

**Cause:** The user is not a member of the organization, or invoice does not belong to this organization

**Cause:** Invoice not found
