# OpenAPI & SDKs

> Download the v2 OpenAPI document, generate a typed client, import it into Postman

The v2 API (wastes, ingest jobs, webhooks) is described by an OpenAPI 3.1 document, generated from the code on
every release, so it always matches what the API accepts and returns:

**[openapi-v2.json](https://code.dcycle.io/openapi-v2.json)**

It includes every path, parameter, body and response schema, the `x-api-key` / `x-organization-id` security
schemes and the deprecation flags. Errors follow [problem details](/api-reference/errors).

## Generate a client

<CodeGroup>
  ```bash Python theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
  pip install openapi-python-client
  openapi-python-client generate --url https://code.dcycle.io/openapi-v2.json --meta uv
  ```

  ```bash TypeScript theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
  npx openapi-typescript https://code.dcycle.io/openapi-v2.json -o dcycle.d.ts
  # then use it with a typed fetch wrapper such as openapi-fetch
  ```

  ```bash Any language theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark"}}
  npx @openapitools/openapi-generator-cli generate \
    -i https://code.dcycle.io/openapi-v2.json -g <go|java|csharp|ruby|...> -o dcycle-client
  ```
</CodeGroup>

Generated clients send the headers you configure once: `x-api-key`, `x-organization-id`, and an
`Idempotency-Key` per bulk request (`POST /v2/wastes`, `POST /v2/wastes/delete`).

## Postman / Insomnia

Import → **Link** → `https://code.dcycle.io/openapi-v2.json`. Set `x-api-key` and `x-organization-id` as collection
variables.

## Stability

v2 is **BETA**: additive changes (new fields, endpoints, error codes) ship without notice, so ignore unknown fields.
Breaking changes are announced in the [changelog](/api-reference/changelog).
